Afterword
For more than ten years Ted Engstrom has been my friend. He has encouraged me, loved me, listened to me, and walked with me through my good and bad times. He has always been available, courteous, polite, understanding, and affirming. Yes, I too get my share of those wonderful memos.
For me, Ted Engstrom is a valued personal treasure and faithful friend. Few men on earth, with the exception of my own father, have made such a permanent mark for good on my life. How can I be anything but eternally grateful to my friend, Ted Engstrom.
I thought I had lots of friends, and I do! But Ted Engstrom has hundreds. Literally. I know, because I talked to scores of them as I helped prepare the material for this book.
Thank you, Ted, for the privilege of working with you once again. Thank you, Ted, for personally living out the principles of friendship we've written about in these pages. Thank you, Ted, for being such a model of friendship to me and to thousands of others all across this world. Thank you, Ted, for teaching me so much about the fine art of friendship.
